KAREN – Filmmaker, Editor

I feel like all adventures are exciting yet nerve-wracking at the same time. It’s that feeling… that ‘I’m really going to do this’ feeling.  It’s incredible – knowing that exploring something new that you just know is so right for you.  I can relate in so many ways!  …like leaving a “safe” job to follow your dreams and passions. Filmmaking is a adventure that I dove headfirst and whole-heartedly into.   Nothing excites me more than helping preserve memories that you’ll cherish and pass on for many generations to come. =)

I come from a background of visual arts and architecture. It was a dream come true to be able to not only study architecture in Italy but to combine that with my passion of visual arts. I have always loved theatre and everything about it.  Something about the fact that all these things come together to present this final performance! The craziness of ‘tech week’ that leads to the exhilaration of opening night! The adrenaline and the nerves all rolled up into one!

To me, weddings are like the ultimate real life theatre performance. All of these different aspects come together for the ultimate show…and the main leads are the two of you!  What’s even better is that the after-party – your lifelong marriage.  After the flowers have wilted and the funny penguin suits are stowed, the best things last:  your commitment to one another and the memories you cherish.  Moments like utter elation and joy mixed with the moments that bring out such an emotion that only your closest family and friends could provoke.  Moments that hopefully will be preserved in a beautifully crafted film (like the one I promise to create for you).

P.S. I really love wedding cake, especially tiramisu and ice cream cake!

ERIC – Filmmaker
I like to try new things. I enjoy art, tennis, snowboarding, and rock climbing, but I’m always looking for something new to dive into. I like to keep photos and films of the things I’ve done and the good times I’ve had since I tend to forget easily. When I look back, they help me remember all the small details of the experiences that have slipped my mind. While adding to my personal story, I’m also a prodigious consumer of stories. I read as many interesting books as I can get my hands on and I enjoy a film with a happy ending. If I’m going to invest 2 hours into something, I’d rather see good things happen to people.

NORM – Editor
I hail from the armpit state of America, New Jersey. I am one of the visual architects behind your films. When I look at the footage from your special day, I see them as music notes and compose them into something beautiful and magical. Outside of editing your films, I am a art educator by day, encouraging and enlightening the future generations of America in the digital and traditional arts. Much like fellow members of the team, I live for food!   If you see me at a wedding, you generally see me bee-lining from one hors d’oeuvre to another. I am in a constant journey for THE perfect burger. As Marshall Erikson from How I Met Your Mother once put it, “That first bite—oh, what heaven that first bite is. The bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then…a pickle! The most playful little pickle! Then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a…a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, Robin. This is God, speaking to us in food.”

I am more excited about your wedding cake that you can possibly imagine. I really only exercise so that I can hustle quietly enough to be a creative ninja wedding photographer.   I live for travel and adventure sports.  My goal is to experience as much culture shock as I can – via language, tradition and of course – food.  HUGE emphasis on the food!  :)  I’m a big fan of thrills – rock climbing, scuba diving, sky diving, aerial silk dancing, and whatever else may come my way.

I come from a world of spreadsheets, decks, fancy business suits, and constant corporate travel.  As a recovering management consultant, wedding filmmaking has opened a door to a much more fulfilling life.  Thanks for letting me into your world.  You make more of a difference in my life than you can imagine.
